Starting with IATA accredited and industry recognised Travel Consultant courses, Hayton developed into an Australia-wideprivate training provider through the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s - delivering classroom training courses to airline personnel, travel agents and employees of many travel related companies as well as beginners with no previous experience of the Travel Industry.

Hayton’s College’s travel training courses have been recognised by industry and IATA since 1976. In the 1990’s the Travel Training Review Panel (later known as the Tourism Training Review Panel) also recognised all courses up to Diploma in Tourism level. Hayton was a deemed RTO which trained only for local industry employment and employees.
