What are component courses?
Component courses are short courses that give you in-depth knowledge of a particular skill within a Computer Reservations Systems, or help you convert your skills from one CRS to another.
Skills development component courses go into more detail than the standard Computer Reservations Systems course, making you an expert in a particular area.
The conversion courses will help you move from one CRS to another - perfect if you are changing companies.
Who should take a component course
Anyone who is familiar with a CRS and wants to:
- Improve their skills in a particular area, such as airline reservations, car rentals or hotel reservations
- Use a different type of computer reservations system
ideal for travel consultants and others who currently work in the industry using systems on a day to day basis and who want to improve their knowledge of their CRS.
If you know how to use a CRS and want to learn about another - maybe because you are changing jobs or want an impressive CV, these courses are for users of one CRS/GDS who need to learn another system in the fastest and most effective way.
What component course I should take?
It depends on your job situation and current skill level. For example, if you use Galileo and want to work for Qantas Airways and would like to have Amadeus CRS/GDS listed on your CV, take the 'Moving to Amadeus' course and be ready to apply for exciting airline positions.
