Getting Started

Not sure where to begin?

Getting started will help you understand where to start evaluating training.

Hayton’s online travel training courses are ideal for:

  • People with current workplace skills who want to change direction
  • School leavers who want to assess their interest in the industry before committing to a long daytime training programme
  • People who have travelled extensively and now want to join the industry because they have caught “the travel bug”
  • People who need the Travel Agents Licensing requirement of THTSOP20A
  • Industry employees who need industry recognised skills and qualifications

Each Unit of Competency offered builds towards a full qualification under the Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF) which ensures nationally recognised training.

Start with “Take Off into Travel” to gain the background knowledge of the industry and the ability to develop and update tourism industry knowledge.

Follow this course with “Operate a CRS” and either of the IATA Fares programmes and you will be ready to “Take Off into Travel”

Each Course is a unit embedded in the Certificate III in Tourism qualification.

Once you are employed you can then start to complete further units in the workplace under Hayton’s RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning) programme.

Hayton College provides online training courses to the travel and tourism industry.
All courses are developed by industry professionals, in conjunction with key industry bodies, associations and businesses.
