Essential reading
Refunds
Refunds are only available within 24 hours of receipt of your Username and Password, or if you haven't logged in to the system. We are unable to refund IATA Fares and Ticketing I & II once you have logged in to the system. Refund requests must be received in writing.
Computer Reservations Systems and IATA Fares and Ticketing I & II both have a printed workbook that is posted out to you. We'd prefer it if you could get the workbook back to us in perfect condition; if you can't, or if the workbook is damaged or marked in any way, we will have to deduct the cost of this from your refund (approximately A$100).
In the case of a refund a AUD$100 administration fee will be deducted from your refund. No refund requests will be accepted or considered after 12 months from registration.
Timed courses
Computer Reservations Systems and IATA Fares and Ticketing I & II are timed courses. You have a set number of hours in which to complete the course. Most students find the time allowed to be adequate, however if you do need more time additional hours are available to be purchased.
Conditions of Study
By registering for a course and by payment of the course fees, you have agreed to the conditions of study:
- The work you submit will be yours and yours alone
- You have read and understood the Copyright and Content information
- You will notify Hayton Administration in writing (e-mail is fine) if you need to delay or postpone the course.
- You will complete all online and any written coursework within the timeframe specified for each course.
Student Support Services
Hayton College's courses are designed to be self-contained. If you do need occasional assistance, e-mail assistance (up to 10 per course) is provided for free

Access
Hayton College directors, staff and trainers adhere to strict guidelines regarding Access and Equity. Hayton’s Travel College’s online travel industry training courses are open to all people worldwide who have access to a PC and the Internet whether from home, in an Internet café or a public library, regardless of gender, socioeconomic background, disability, ethnic origin, age or race. English is the international language of the Tourism Industry so a comprehensive glossary is available to all enrolled students.
Access ro Records
All student records are kept for 30 years as per applicable Legislative Requirements. Please contact Hayton for results. If you require a reprint of a certificate an adminstration fee of UAD33 plus postage and handling will apply.
Equity
Hayton College has a supportive learning environment, assisting with assessment alternatives depending on individual circumstances which may arise during the programme. Hayton attracts students from around the globe and prides itself on embracing differences of culture and experience providing the means by which all students have the best opportunity to achieve their goals.
The Hayton Community
Graduates of all courses except Typequick may join the Hayton community and gain access to an area of the website which outlines employment opportunities, course updates, industry news and student success stories.
Assessments
Students must complete all assessments in line with course requirements. These are outlined by e-mail prior to course commencement.
Re-Assessment Appeal
You may submit an assessment three (3) times. The initial submission may be followed two more assessments. If you still do not meet the requirements for competency (that is, you are deemed Not Yet Competent) you may re-enrol to take the course again or discontinue studies in this subject.
If you do not agree with a Not Yet Competent decision you must appeal in writing within 30 days of the assessment results being notified.
No unlawful or prohibited use
As a condition of your use of the Hayton Travel College Web Site, you warrant to Hayton Travel College that you will not use the Hayton Travel College Web Site for any purpose that is unlawful or prohibited by these terms, conditions, and notices. You may not use the Hayton Travel College Web Site in any manner which could damage, disable, overburden, or impair the Hayton Travel College Web Site or interfere with any other party's use and enjoyment of the Hayton Travel College Web Site. You may not obtain or attempt to obtain any materials or information through any means not intentionally made available or provided for through the Hayton Travel College Web Sites.

Students must complete the official application / registration / enrolment form on the website and submit to Hayton electronically or download and fax with Credit card details to +61 2 9555 1436.

You must supply a photocopied photo ID – Passport and or Drivers Licence.
Students must advise any change of address.
Employment
Hayton College does not guarantee employment, however, because of our long-term industry connections and involvement we are approached almost daily by companies looking for staff. For further information look at the employment pages of the website.
Literacy and Numeracy
As all courses do test a student’s English literacy and numeracy skills we do expect Australian students to have completed the School Certificate and global students to have working knowledge of the English language and have completed a high school education.
Complaints, Grievances and Concerns
Complaints, grievances or concerns must be addressed in writing and forwarded to the Principal, Hayton Travel College - PO Box 651 QVB Sydney, NSW 1230.
All complatins will be dealt with promptly within 28 days of receipt. All concerns will be treated confidentially. Hayton will not act on annonymous or unsubstantiated issues.
Appeals
If you feel your complaint has not been fully addressed or resolved you have the right of appeal. Contact Hayton for details.
Applicable Legislation
Hayton complies with Federal and State/territory privacy Legislation, including the Privacy Act 1988 and subsequent amendments.
The Acts relevant to the operation of Hayton are:

Recognition of Prior Learning
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) the process that recognises a student’s current skills, experience and training regardless of where and when this learning occurred.
Any application for RPL will be based on an entire Unit of Competency
Please contact Hayton for information on the RPL process. Generally, a fee will apply for RPL assessment/s
First, please ask yourself:
- Is the skill and the knowledge current?
- Is it authentic – you will have to prove you have the skills and knowledge applied for.
- Is your skill appropriate to the level of the unit of competency?
USE OF COMMUNICATION SERVICES
The Hayton Travel College Web Site may contain bulletin board services, chat areas, news groups, forums, communities, personal web pages, calendars, and/or other message or communication facilities designed to enable you to communicate with the public at large or with a group (collectively, 'Communication Services'), you agree to use the Communication Services only to post, send and receive messages and material that are proper and related to the particular Communication Service. By way of example, and not as a limitation, you agree that when using a Communication Service, you will not:
Defame, abuse, harass, stalk, threaten or otherwise violate the legal rights (such as rights of privacy and publicity) of others.

Download any file posted by another user of a Communication Service that you know, or reasonably should know, cannot be legally distributed in such manner.
Falsify or delete any author attributions, legal or other proper notices or proprietary designations or labels of the origin or source of software or other material contained in a file that is uploaded.
Restrict or inhibit any other user from using and enjoying the Communication Services.
Violate any code of conduct or other guidelines which may be applicable for any particular Communication Service.
Harvest or otherwise collect information about others, including e-mail addresses, without their consent
Student Responsibilities
These include:
- notifying the college of any problems which may occur during the programme.
- notifying the college when the course is complete prior to the final assessment
- posting back the any workbook in a registered / tracked pack to ensure safe receipt (Hayton will return in the same manner)
Student Workbook/Worksheets/Exercises
It is the students responsibility to complete any accompanying workbooks, worksheets or exercises and to ensure safe receipt by Hayton College where required.
